Two of a Kind Rentals ("we," "us," "our") operates twoofakindrentals.com. This policy explains what information we collect, why, and what we do with it.

Information we collect

Information you give us. When you submit an inquiry, build a wishlist, or request a quote, we collect the information you provide — typically your name, email address, phone number, event date, event location, and the items you're interested in. Our wishlist and quoting features are powered by Goodshuffle Pro, a third-party event rental platform, which stores this information on our behalf.

Information collected automatically. Our website is hosted on Squarespace. Like most websites, it automatically records standard technical information such as your IP address, browser type, device type, referring page, and the pages you visit. We also use cookies and similar technologies for site functionality and analytics.

Advertising and measurement. We advertise through Google Ads and use Google's conversion tracking to understand which ads lead to inquiries. This may involve cookies or similar identifiers set by Google. We use this to measure advertising performance, not to build profiles about you.

How we use information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Respond to your inquiries and prepare quotes

  • Fulfill and service rental orders

  • Communicate with you about your event and your order

  • Operate, maintain, and improve our website

  • Measure the effectiveness of our advertising

  • Keep business and financial records, and meet legal and tax obligations

How we share information

We do not sell your personal information.

We share information only with service providers who help us run the business, and only as needed for them to do so. These include our website host (Squarespace), our rental management platform (Goodshuffle Pro), our payment processor, our accounting software (QuickBooks Online), and our advertising platform (Google). Each handles data under its own privacy policy.

We may also disclose information where required by law, or to protect our legal rights.

Business software and integrations

We use internal software tools to manage our own business records, including an integration that reads our QuickBooks Online accounting data onto a computer we control. These tools access our business's financial records — invoices, payments, and reports.

These tools use generative AI. Business records retrieved through this integration are sent to Anthropic's Claude models for processing, and are handled under Anthropic's terms and privacy policy. The data involved is our own business and financial information. Customer personal information is not part of this integration.

This software is used only by us. It is not offered to, or accessible by, our customers or the public.

Data retention

We keep inquiry and customer information for as long as needed to serve you and to meet our business, accounting, and legal obligations. Financial and tax records are retained as required by law.

Your choices

You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email krista@twoofakindrentals.com and we'll respond within a reasonable time. Deletion requests may be limited where we're required to keep records — completed transactions, for example.

You can control cookies through your browser settings. You can adjust Google's ad personalization at google.com/settings/ads.

Children

Our services are directed to adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date above reflects the most recent version.
